  •  Tantawi hands over powers of legislation, monitoring to PA:


    Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, Head of SCAF sent a message to the new People’s Assembly in which he announced handing over the power of legislation and monitoring to the Assembly.

  •  New PA speaker pledges reprisal for martyrs:


    The revolution parliament held its first procedural session on Monday 23/1/2012 under eldest member Dr. Mahmoud Al-Saqqa. During the session, Dr. Saad Al Katatni, was elected to be a speaker of the People's Assembly. In his first speech after winning in the top parliament seat on Monday, Katatni said that Egypt lost many of its sons in the fight for freedom and democracy.


"Lotus Revolution" broke out on January 25, 2011, calling for "freedom", "development" and "social justice". Demonstrators also protested poverty and unemployment. At the end, however, it behoves us to express our gratitude to the Egyptian Forces for siding with the people and for working to achieve their dreams and aspirations.
