Passport DC Around the World Embassy Tour

The Egyptian Embassy in Washington participated in the "Embassy Tour" that was organized by Passport D.C. organization. More than 5000 attended the event that was held for around 8 hours. The attendants were very enthusiastic to learn about Egyptian culture especially after the events of the revolution which reflected peacefulness and civil manners of the Egyptian people. The Embassy hosts Elizabeth Peters

The Embassy in Collaboration with the GWU Capitol Archeological Institute, hosted Barbara Mertz. Interviewed by TV Anchor Judy Woodruff , Barbara reflected on her great admiration for Egyptian ancient history and her writtings. The event was attended by nearly 200 people. About Barbara Mertz: Born and brought up in Illinois and earned her Ph.D. in Egyptology from the University of Chicago's famed Oriental Institute. Peters was named Grand Master at the inaugural Anthony Awards in 1986 and Grand Master by the Mystery Writers of America at the Edgar Awards in 1998.
