“The Land of Pharaohs visits DC” Egypt Exhibit at the “International Children Festival” May 6th, 2012


The Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Washington DC was delighted to participate in “The Sixth International Children’s Festival” that took place on May 6th, 2012 in the Ronald Reagan Building, through its Exhibit entitled “The land Of Pharaohs visits DC”. More than a thousand Children, who attended the Festival along with their families, had the opportunity to learn about the Pharaohs History and to take pictures with the statues of Kings and Queens of Ancient Egypt displayed in the Exhibit. Egypt Exhibit included various activities for the Children including face-painting, coloring and writing their names in Hieroglyphics, and learning the different historic places in Egypt. Egyptian Children, wearing the traditional Egyptian costumes, also participated in the “Parade of Children in International Dress”. The Festival was hosted by Meridian International Centre and THIS for Diplomats, in partnership with Cultural Tourism DC and the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Centre.
