Ambassador Tawfik’s visit to the city of Minneapolis


Ambassador Mohamed Tawfik made a working visit to the city of Minneapolis, MN on the 7th of August 2015, in which he had a meeting with representatives from business community of Minnesota.

During the meeting, the ambassador highlighted the recent political and economic developments in Egypt, and the new packages of incentives which the Egyptian Government offers to investors. He also underscored the importance of the Suez Canal project, and its positive impact on the Egyptian economy and international trade.

The activities of the Ambassador in Minnesota also included his participation along with Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria , in an event organized by the Minnesota Friends of  the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. In his remarks during the event, the ambassador referred to the role of the Alexandria library in promoting culture, dissemination of knowledge, and preserving human heritage.
