Cairo hosts donor conference to rebuild Darfur

-International donors are to gather in Cairo on Sunday with a two-billion-dollar target for the reconstruction of Darfur.
The one day conference is organised by the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC),and is to be co-chaired by Egypt and Turkey. Around 25 non-OIC member states and 50 international organisations and NGOs have also been invited to take part.
The two billion dollars which the conference aims to raise is to finance a long list of development projects in agriculture, water supply, health and education.
